How-to Register (2010):

Once again, this past season was a tremendous success for our program with approximately 2,000 boys and girls enrolled in the league. The continued support of parents and players along with league sponsors, managers, and coaches is critical to the continued long-term success of PYB/S. PYB/S is a 100% volunteer driver organization. Every member of the board is a parent of a current or former player, just like you. We are always looking for additional assistance so if you are interested in volunteering for various Board and/or committee positions or just to help out for a few hours when needed, click here.

DOWNLOAD the 2010 Palatine Youth Baseball and Softball Registration Form Here. This form is also being mailed to all registrants from the 2009 season.

This year we will again have a discounted "early bird" registration which closes Sunday January 17, 2010. All registrations received after January 17th will be charged our regular rate.

Registration will close at 5 pm on or before SUNDAY, MARCH 1, 2010 for all drafted leagues. The deadline for registration for younger leagues (5 year old T-ball, Kindergarten Rookies, 1st grade Future Stars, and 1st and 2nd grade girls division III softball) is on or before MARCH 14, 2010. Most divisions of PYB/S fill to capacity so please register early. Once the division is filled you will be placed on a waiting list. You may mail in your form or drop it off at Community Center, 250 Wood Street or Birchwood Recreation Center, 435 West Illinois Avenue.

New participants must provide a copy of their child's birth certificate with their registration form. Additional forms can be downloaded online at http://www.palatineparks.org/forms.html . New participants presently in 2nd grade or older are required to attend a mandatory player evaluation on a Saturday in early March (tentatively scheduled for March 6, 2010).  Please check this website for updated schedules and information.

Completed registration forms should be returned with one check made payable to the "Palatine Park District" in the amount of the total registration fee.

Returning participants may register online at http://www.palatineparks.org/ . Online registration requires payment by credit card. If you have questions or problems concerning online registration, please call Registration at (847) 991-0333.

The refund policy is as follows:
Before March 1st   100% less $5.00 processing fee
After March 1st      50% less $5.00 processing fee
After April 1st         No refund

If you have more than one child participating in PYB/S, be sure to indicate the names and leagues of each child on each registration form. This is necessary in order to process the second child program fee, and waive the PYB/S operating fee for three or more participants. When registering three or more participants online you will be charged the $80 operating fee for each child and then automatically receive a refund credited to your charge account, beginning with the third child.

If you are interested in managing, coaching, and/or sponsoring a team, please mark the registration form accordingly. If you have any questions, please e-mail the appropriate PYB/S League Commissioner or Officer.  As noted above we are very interested in additional volunteers to serve on the Board and/or on Committees. If you are willing to serve and help ensure the continued growth of PYB/S, please click here..

Again, thank you for your continued support. We look forward to a season for all to enjoy.

Mark Miller
President PYB/S
