PYB/S Updates Updated 6/17/2015

Baseball/Softball Day

PYBS Baseball/Softball Day Saturday, July 11th.  This is one of the most special days in PYBS.  It is a day to celebrate the kids and all they accomplished, the friendships made, and reflect on the fun throughout the season.  Everyone can enjoy one of the various All Star games in between divisional Trophy presentations.  Check our website for specific information regarding times.

BB/SB Day cannot happen without an small army of volunteers.. From concessions to selling spirit wear , we need your help.  All we ask for is an hour of your time.  Plan a time when you can work with a few friends to have more fun.  We will do all we can to accommodate.  Contact Joanne Wojcik via email at mjwojcik@ameritech.net.  Please let her know what division you child/children are in so that she can schedule around your awards and all star games.  This is also a great opportunity for your high schoolers to gain their volunteer hours!

4th of July Parade

Come join PYBS to walk in Palatine’s 4th of July Parade.  PYBS once again will be walking in the parade.  The parade will occur Saturday, July 4th.  PYBS teams or individuals participants are welcome to join us.  We will have bags of candy for the kids to hand out.

Please RSVP to Mike Herron at mherron@willowcreek.org.  We do not yet know our position #, Mike will send out an email when we get the location and time.

Donations Needed

On Saturday, July 11, 2015, Baseball Oyate* will hold a sports equipment drive for new or gently used baseball and softball equipment at PYB Baseball Day. Proceeds from the drive will benefit Baseball Oyate, Inc., a charity for at-risk children, youth and families.
Baseball Oyate will host free baseball and softball camps, this July, on the Rosebud and Pine Ridge Indian Reservations in south central South Dakota. The kids will use your donated equipment to participate in the camp, and then the kids will each get to keep a glove and a ball. Additional equipment, apparel, and gear will be given to the team coaches to use with established teams. Baseball Oyate is a private, non-profit, charitable organization.

The mission of Baseball Oyate is to empower youth through baseball and softball by providing the resources necessary to operate and enhance community programs while inspiring strong character and well being for the under served in areas of significant native population.

Bulls/Sox Training Academy Summer Camps Updated 4/11/2015
Hello @PYBSFans!
Check out this message from the Bulls/Sox Training Academy...
The Bulls Sox Training Academy is hosting summer camps this summer with the local park district in your area and we are wanting you to encourage your league players to sign up. We offer a league incentive program and the way it works is for every player that signs up from your league your league will get 10 dollars back.  For example if you have 50 kids that sign up your league would receive 500 dollars. We feel this is a great program because it allows the leagues to receive money that then could go to purchasing new equipment.
